At Sonuscore we’ve been sampling acoustic sources for years, so we decided to use the same approach for sampling synths and other synthetic sources. That instrument is ELYSION 2 – THE ENCOUNTER.
ELYSION ELEMENTS puts the whole idea in your hands for free.
Electronic Sounds, Designed to Behave Like Acoustic Ones
Here is the thinking behind ELYSION. We took synthetic and electronic sources and sampled them like an orchestral library samples a live player. Every source was recorded across multiple velocity layers, each shaped to its own character. When you play quietly, the sound is calm and rounded with few overtones. When you dig in, the sound opens up. Overtones come through. You get grit and the kind of edge a real instrument gives when pushed.
Think of a trombone. Played gently, it is warm and soft. Played hard, it breaks up and blares. It is a different sound, not the same sound turned up. Or a guitar string plucked with a fingertip versus struck with a plectrum. The instrument changes as you play harder. That is what happens inside ELYSION when you lean into the playing.
That idea is why ELYSION sits in a different category from most hybrid synths. The expression lives in how you play, not how far you push a fader.
What You Get in ELYSION ELEMENTS
ELYSION ELEMENTS is the free way into that system. Thirty Themes, hand-selected by Sonuscore founder Tilman Sillescu, showcase the full range of the instrument, from soft and still to loud and ferocious.
This is not a locked-down taster which would easily get boring fast. Only the instrument selection browser is limited. Everything that shapes and performs the sound is open and fully editable:
- The full effects engine, with morphable FX
- The arpeggiators and the envelopes
- The pan engine and the mixer
This means a composer working with these 30 Themes has the same depth of control as someone using the full ELYSION 2 – THE ENCOUNTER library. You get a complete instrument, scoped down to 30 Themes, not a demo with the interesting features switched off.

Thirty Themes, Each With a Character
Every Theme in ELYSION 2 – THE ENCOUNTER is named after one of 12 planets or interstellar objects, and the name tells you the mood. Some examples: Mars is aggressive and violent. Venus is tranquil and emotional. Neptune is dark and obscure. You navigate by feel, so you can find the sound in your head without auditioning blindly.
The 30 Themes in ELYSION ELEMENTS cover all four types of instruments.
Animated Themes generate complex rhythmic and melodic arrangements with the full effect and the arpeggiator engine running. Pads hold and breathe. Hits land and punctuate the music. Pulses drive things along. Pick a character, pick a type, play a chord, and the ensemble engine does the rest.
