How Composers Use These Instruments
01
Sketching & Temp Tracks
The Orchestra Elements loads quickly and responds naturally to keyboard input. Composers working to picture use it to quickly sketch cues, establish harmonic ideas, and test structure before committing to more complex libraries and arrangements. Because it runs in Kontakt Player, it sits inside any existing template without reconfiguration.
02
BUILDING HYBRID SCORES
The Pulse Elements handles rhythmic momentum where traditional orchestration alone isn’t enough. Trailer and game composers layer it under orchestral writing to add drive and energy. Works particularly well when the score needs to sit alongside sound design rather than above it.
03
STRING WRITING & TEXTURE
LUX Orchestral Strings Elements provides a large symphonic string sound without the complexity of a full multi-articulation library. It suits cue writing where expressive string tone is the priority and detailed articulation switching would slow the process.
04
EXPANDING A TEMPLATE GRADUALLY
Many composers start with the free instruments and add full versions as their workload grows. Because Elements and complete libraries share the same engine and interface, the transition requires no relearning whatsoever. Same workflow, deeper tools.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these instruments genuinely free, or is there a catch?
They are fully functional professional instruments available at no cost. There is no trial period, no feature limitation and no watermark on your audio. Registration through Native Access is required.
Do I need the full version of Kontakt to use these?
No. All Sonuscore free instruments run in the free Kontakt Player. You do not need a paid Kontakt licence.
Can I use these in commercial projects?
Yes. Audio produced using Sonuscore instruments is royalty-free and can be used in commercial film, television, game, and advertising work.
How do the Elements versions differ from the full libraries?
The Elements versions focus on the core sound and primary playing techniques of each instrument. The full versions, The Orchestra Complete, The Pulse and LUX Orchestral Strings, add, for example, a bigger sound set, extended articulations, deeper dynamic layering, additional ensemble configurations and more granular performance control. The interface and engine are consistent across both, so moving from an Elements version to the full library requires no adjustment to your workflow. Please check the product pages for more information.
Will these work in my existing orchestral template?
They are designed to integrate into professional scoring templates. They load as standard Kontakt instruments and respond to MIDI just like any other library in your setup.
What happens if I need more than the free instruments offer?
Each free instrument connects directly to a full version. If you need more articulations, wider dynamic range or deeper control, the upgrade path is a direct step up on the same engine.
Are the instruments updated over time?
Sonuscore maintains and updates its instrument catalogue. Updates are delivered through Native Access when available.
Can I run multiple Sonuscore instruments in the same session?
Yes. They run as separate Kontakt Player instances or as multiple instruments within a single Kontakt Player instance, depending on your DAW and template setup.
