New Presets. New Energy. More Creative Power.
The PULSE Expansion Packs* extend the original vision – a core engine built with far more potential than any single preset collection could explore. Each expansion digs deeper into the engines that drive The PULSE, introducing new forms of motion, tension and rhythmic behaviour shaped by real-world scoring needs.
Designed to Evolve Your Pulse
These expansions aren’t bolt-ons; they’re natural extensions of THE PULSE, adding even more composing muscle while opening new creative possibilities for IDM and electronic producers who like complex, evolving engines.
Each expansion includes 20 thoughtfully designed presets, each with a specific creative emphasis. Motion Textures focuses on subtle background textures and low intensity. Dark Machina focuses on darker, more intricate rhythmic pressure. Synth Wave offers a retro character tailored for modern use. Epic Atmospheres features extensive, evolving textures that are suitable for large-scale soundscapes. Together, the four collections give THE PULSE incredible variety in mood, genre, and scope.

Epic Atmospheres
EDU, The Pulse ExpansionsEpic Atmospheres takes The PULSE into wide, evolving synthesiser sounds, designed for composers working on dystopian or science fiction projects.
This expansion includes 20 enveloping sessions that mix warm analogue synths, big reverbs, deep drones, and changing harmonic textures. Each session feels alive, with texture, modulation, harmony, and space shifting even when you hold one chord.
The sounds are inspired by scores such as Vangelis’ original Blade Runner, as well as Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch’s work on Blade Runner 2049. These influences are used as a creative starting point rather than pastiche. The result is a mix of darkness, beauty, and futuristic elements, while retaining warmth and humanity at its core.
Key Features
• 20 vast, evolving synthesiser sessions
• Warm analogue synths, deep drones and enormous reverbs
• Evolving texture, modulation and harmonic depth
• Built for science fiction, dystopian and futuristic scoring

Synth Wave
EDU, Sound Packs, The Pulse ExpansionsThis pack uses the classic Synth Wave style to bring retro synthesiser energy to The PULSE. It’s made for composers who want vintage character and vibe in their modern music.
This expansion includes 20 presets in two moods. One side focuses on classic Synth Wave, with pulsing basses, arpeggios, strong leads, and creative chord voicings. These sounds quickly bring back the feel of iconic 80s film and TV music.
The other mood is darker and more atmospheric, perfect for film, TV, and games that need retro-futuristic tension instead of pure nostalgia.
Each preset blends warm analogue character and vintage imperfections with modern energy and cinematic depth, making them fit easily into today’s production music.
Key Features
• 20 retro synth presets: classic and cinematic Synth Wave
• Pulsing basses, arpeggios, leads and nostalgic chords
• Darker, atmospheric sessions for film, TV and games
• Vintage analogue character built for modern productions

Dark Machina
EDU, The Pulse Expansions, UncategorizedDark Machina pushes The PULSE into darker, more intricate rhythmic territory, introducing engineered grooves and layered motion built for pressure-driven scoring.
Some scores call for rhythm that feels constructed rather than performed. Dark Machina fills that space. This expansion adds 20 presets focused on industrial energy, mechanical motion and complex rhythmic structures that evolve over time.
These sounds create momentum that never fully settles. Patterns interlock, shift and reconfigure, building intensity without becoming predictable or static.
Key Features
• 20 industrial and rhythm-driven presets
• Mechanical grooves with layered, evolving motion
• Complex rhythmic behaviour that builds pressure
• Designed for modern, motion-focused scoring

Motion Textures
EDU, Sound Packs, The Pulse ExpansionsMotion Textures expands The PULSE with a collection of subtle, story-driven presets designed to sit beneath dialogue and quietly push a scene forward.
Modern scoring often demands intensity without loudness and momentum without obvious rhythm. This expansion introduces 20 new presets built specifically for low-level Intensity, understated movement and narrative suspense.
These sounds behave like drones with intent. There is always motion, but never distraction, designed to make still scenes feel uneasy, as if something is about to happen just out of frame.
Key Features
• 20 new mood-shaping presets
• Subtle pulses designed for modern underscore
• Movement and intensity without overpowering a scene
• Seamless integration with The PULSE engine
